What a beautiful day the Lord has made! We started out on the 24th of July at 0700 in 72 degree weather! God is awesome indeed! Especilly with some of the previous days pushing 90 by 0900 hours.

The day was awesome! Tammy Estes Van Horn and Ethan Van Horn caught up with us at a construction flag guy. I heard the horn, and Jack Carmicheal Thompson and I looked back to see who was upset at two bikers blocking the road. It was my bride! I got me a kiss. LOL not sure what the flagger was thinking LOL. We set up the "Taj Mahal" and Jack set up his tent. I grilled some burgers for our lunch. Then, Jack and I took a swim and then washed our Cycling gear. For supper we headed to Meridian to Simple Simon's Pizza!  The days album of pictures HERE.

The 25th, we were up at 0530. Jack Carmicheal Thompson broke camp while I went used the shower and shaved. We ate some boiled eggs and pop tarts for breakfast and then after checking the air in our tires, headed out. Believe it or not, Tammy Estes Van Horn and Ethan Van Horn caught up to us at another contruction flagger. LOL. We arrived to Dinosaur Valley State Park at 1045. We ate an early lunch and then took a shower to cool off. Whohoo. Art Garcesa arrived about 1530 to pick up the Christian Cycling - Texas EZ-UP and bottles for the upcoming Blazin Saddle 75 ride. (Anyone interested in helping man the tent at the finish line contact Art.) After we got our hugs and said our goodbyes, our car wouldn't start! A fellow camper helped is out by jumping off our car. Next stop, suto parts store for a battery. The young man, Hew, changed our battery and we were on the road again. Next stop, supper! The days album of pictures HERE.

On the 26th we took off early again and headed back to Meridian State Park. Another 32 miles in the books. I cooked some hot dogs for lunch and then we went swimming in the lake. Whohoo. I cooked hamburgers for supper and then we headed to town for dessert. We wanted to enjpy some air conditioning just as much as we wanted the desert actually. Day three picture album HERE.

Our final day of the tour brought us back home. 4 days, 3 nights, 149.7 miles in the TEXAS HEAT. Last day pictures HERE.
