Write up from Art Garcesa - We feel very blessed to have been able to come out and support the Celebration of Life Ride for Shawnita Sterett.  Our North Texas members joined 11 other clubs from the area to support and ride multiple pace routes.  We would like to thank Chris R Jones for coordinating and putting this ride together.  It was very heartwarming to see 305 riders with their hearts filled with love and support for Shawnita Hamill Sterett.

We continue our prayers for the Lord's comfort for Shane Sterett and his family.

Also in March, (Jack Thompson) did the River Ride Kids Fest March 23rd in Victoria Texas. Here is his write up...

After a week of a rainy forecast for Saturday Riverside Ride in Victoria, we still knew God was going to show out!! We arrived to the ride at 7am, 2 hours before the Family Fun Ride which Rase and I were doing and 1 hour before the long routes were to take off. We unloaded my bike and then Reeses trike from the back of the truck. Looking up, we seen nothing but blue and the sun, like I said, God showed out!! We said ," see you soon to Nicky (My beautiful wife) and Dean ( My awesome son). They would be picking us up when we completed our ride!! Once we were settled, I start working the parking lot. I passed out Fire Ant Cards, hand shake and Good mornings. I gave somewhere  near 30 cards. I also gave 2 christaincycling Card to interested individuals, Sonny from Victoria and Don and his wife from Magnolia. After that, the long routes open ceremony took place with the National Anthem, Pledge and prayer then about 50 riders were off to the races. Reese brought his low tire to my attention and quickly aired it up. Then me and Reese made our way to check in. Soon after that we were lining up for our Family Fun Ride , thank goodness a little early cause as we did so Reese noticed his tire I'd just aired up had came off its bead. So I quickly pulled out the air pump, deflated his tire, popped his bead back in place and began airing up the tire. As the tire was airing up Reese seen that his foot strap had come loose and entwined in-between the chain and crack. As I was fixing the strap, the chain popped off. I did get these repairs done as they were finishing the opening ceremonies. So, I would get up stand for the Anthem, Neal to fix stuff. Stand back up for the pledge and Neal for more repais and so on. Lol!! We got it done though just in time. It was a great to ride and had a great time seeing folks. I added a few pics!
